We’re thrilled to announce that we have added Willful CEO, Erin Bury to our advisory group! Erin has been providing guidance and support to our team since we started building Doormat, so this really just makes it official.
Named one of Bay St. Bull’s Women of the Year, Erin is the co-founder and CEO at Willful, an online estate planning platform that makes it easy for Canadians to create a will in less than 20 minutes. At Willful she’s responsible for driving the company’s mission to make it easier for Canadians to prepare for and deal with death in a digital age.
Erin previously spent 6 years running a Toronto-based creative communications agency that worked with clients including Lyft, Telus, and Sony Pictures Television. She has also held senior roles at startup publication BetaKit and startup Sprouter, which was acquired by Postmedia in 2011.
In addition to her day job, Erin is a frequent speaker with Speakers’ Spotlight, and she has appeared in publications including The New York Times, Forbes, and CNN, and was named one of Marketing Magazine's top 30 Under 30 marketers. She is a board member at Save the Children Canada, and the co-chair of the #Tech4SickKids advisory council for SickKids.
“We couldn’t be more excited to have Erin join the Doormat team. As a LegalTech startup, we look up to Willful and aspire to the success they’ve had. Erin has obviously been essential to Willful’s growth and development and we look forward to her continued impact on Doormat!”
– Robert Saunders, Doormat CEO
With her experience leading Willful, Erin brings incredible insight to the Doormat team as we set out on our mission to become Canada’s real estate lawyer. Her wealth of experience in PR and communications help to fill a void in our marketing expertise, which we’ll rely on heavily as we continue to build the Doormat brand.
We’re honoured to welcome Erin to the team!
